The short story revolves around Rankin’s experience when the G8 Summit was held in Scotland in July 2005. The story was included in Rankin’s short story collection published in 2015 entitled “The Beat Goes On”. The proceeds from the initial sale of this work were donated to SNIP, a parent-led voluntary organisation based at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
