A Limited Edition, numbered 266 of 514 total copies, signed by the Author. Thick 4to, several plates and illustrations in the text, hand–coloured initials. Bound in the Publisher’s half vellum gilt, uncut, decorative spine labels, decorative endpapers. Published in Madrid for the Author, 1920.

The corners of the binding a little rubbed, the hinges reinforced, clean internally. A very good copy.

This work is one of the finest productions on Spanish naval architecture and shipbuilding from the 16th to 18th century, and particularly documents the architecture of the old Spanish wooden battleships and galleons. It was following a series of conferences held at the Ateneo de Madrid in May 1914 that this work came to be published (Palau 1, 521.)
