In the foreword to the book, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Court of St James, Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz, writes in part:

Founded on mutual respect, strategic interests and strong business ties, it has become a friendship that is deeply rooted in our common values and reaches into every facet of our lives.
This book recounts some of the highlights of this long-standing friendship, from the earliest times when Captain William Shakespear and my grandfather, King Abdul Aziz first met, to the moment this summer when Prince William sat in the Saudi tent at the World Scout Jamboree in Essex, talking to young Saudis about life in our two kingdoms.”
